Regional Director for Region Kalmar County

Region Kalmar County has achieved many great results over the years, such as high ratings from patients in national patient surveys and being ranked highest in the Best Hospital Food measurement on all occasions. As Regional Director, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for and develop a region with excellent results and a balanced economy. You are expected to work to create conditions for long-term sustainability, efficiency, and quality in close collaboration with political leadership as well as managers and employees. The role entails overall responsibility for operations, finance, and employer duties.

The region is a politically governed organization, and as Regional Director, you receive your assignment from the regional council. This means you report frequently to the regional council and have a close collaboration with the political leadership.

Region Kalmar County was established in 2019 from the County Council of Kalmar County and the Regional Association and is now a well-established region. In your role, you will work towards the continued development of the region's work, both regarding the regional development assignment as well as the region's responsibility for healthcare. In your work, you will have a close dialogue with other organizations such as regions, municipalities within the county, and national networks.

About You

We are looking for someone with an academic education that the employer deems relevant.

You have several years of managerial and leadership experience and have experience leading in complex organizations where you lead through others. You have a good understanding and experience of leading in a politically governed organization and possess knowledge in financial management, organization, leadership, and governance in public organizations.

You actively work to drive development and improvement and ensure that the region promotes people's self-empowerment as well as a trusting and inclusive leadership.

You are strategic and have the ability to quickly analyze, weigh risks, and make decisions. To succeed in the role, you are confident in prioritizing and delegating, and you lead with clear direction, trust, and perseverance. You act with integrity and stand for the region's vision Together for a safer, richer, and healthier life.
